InnoBuyer Kicks Off Co-Creation Phase for EIC Solvers with Four Winning Challenger/Solver Pairs

The InnoBuyer Open Call for EIC Solvers has successfully concluded, with four innovative Challenger/Solver consortia selected to enter the co-creation phase. These teams will now collaborate on developing cutting-edge solutions to tackle real-world challenges in the public domain. Over 40 applications were received from across Europe, and the selected winners will join a 10-month program aimed at refining their solutions and ensuring they’re market-ready.

The call attracted 40 applications from 13 countries across Europe, including Spain, Greece, France, Germany, Turkey, and Poland, as well as markets ranging from Health to Energy & Cleantech, Internet of Things (IoT), and Agriculture. The diverse range of applicants highlights the vast potential for innovation across various industries and public sector challenges.

The Winning Consortia and Their Challenges

The four winning teams represent a diverse range of sectors, from Agriculture to Health and Energy & Cleantech. Each of these teams has identified a specific public sector challenge and proposed an innovative solution:

Honey.AI (Spain): AI-powered honey fraud screening technology with Agri-Food Arbitration Laboratory (LAA) (Challenger) and Microfy Systems S.L (Solver).

EndoPath (Spain): Towards an Early, Objective, and Cost-Effective Diagnostic Tool to Identify Endometriosis at a Primary Care Level with Institute for Research in Primary Care Jordi Gol (IDIAP-Jordi GOL) (Challenger) and MiMARK (Solver).

PurEVOO (Germany/Greece): Ensuring Extra Virgin Olive Oil integrity from admixtures with lower quality vegetable oils using DNA-based technologies with Bavarian Health and Food Safety Authority (Challenger) and BioCoS PC (Solver).

NAIAD (France): Sustainable water monitoring in changing riverbeds with Syndicat Mixte La Têt Bassin Versant (Challenger) and VorteX.io (Solver).

Co-Creation Phase: What's Next?

The selected consortia will now enter a 10-month co-creation phase supported by the InnoBuyer team. This program will enable the teams to refine their solutions, conduct pilot tests, and ensure that their innovations are tailored to meet the specific needs of the public organizations they are working with. Through this collaboration, these teams will have the opportunity to turn their innovative ideas into real-world solutions that can make a tangible impact.
